President Hinckley Passed away, Praise to the Man!

Well President Gordon B. Hinckley passed away yesterday evening around 7 pm in his Salt Lake home with his family surrounding him. This is history being made right before our eyes. Like most, Pres. Hinckley was the prophet for the majority of mine and Mike's life. We have grown up listening to the humorous way that gentle man would tell us to live our life so that we might have joy and that we might fulfill our true purpose here on this earth. He was truly an amazing man, and was loved by many of all faiths. I just love watching the tributes they make to that humble man, the traveling he did to visit the members through out the world. The vision he saw of making temple attendance a possibility for members everywhere. The hearts that he filled with his hope and testimony, the truth that he spoke was heard and shared by millions.

What an amazing man and how great a loss. Truly he will be missed but i think, and i believe many will agree with me, that he is truly in a better place, he returned to his loving eternal sweetheart, Mrs. Marjorie Pay Hinckley, and I'm sure with out a doubt that he was willingly received with open and loving arms by his Heavenly father. I'm sure he Saw that Great Man Brother Joseph Smith and expressed his love for him those whom he loved that passed before.

You know as i listened to the reports on TV, there was a similar theme among the reporters, aside from the great loss of a man with huge accomplishments and remarkable character they were surprised to see that there weren't many tears of sadness but that most people were very joyful. They attributed this to the fact that he lead a great life and service, but i think that those who were joyful knew the real secret, He isn't gone forever, never to be seen, lost to the depths of the earth... He lives he leads and is living in a place that needs him more, he is up there serving with our heavenly father, he is teaching and still finishing the work that was being done here on this earth, he is still saving souls and bringing them to the truth. He lives! and We will see him again! He has a great work to do! PRAISE TO THE MAN!

Welcome, Bienvenido

Well, today is the first day of blogging...professionally!

I am going to have to be more consistent with getting on my computer so i can keep this up. See I've always been a fairly good journal writer and that's cause its easy to write in bed and take the paper anywhere with me. I have to be a little more self disciplined... and I'm up for the challenge.

I guess I could start with what Michael and I are up to. I am working at Costco still, of coarse, where else! But no worries I have moved up in the world, I am now and outside marketing rep. and its a 9-5 job that fits my personality! basically I get to socialize all day long and enjoy what I sale. And the best part weekends off!!

Miguel, well he is now working at Ken Garff Honda of Orem, and he surprised us all by being an amazing salesman! Who knew being honest, yourself, and saying whatever, I mean whatever was on your mind would make you do so well in the car industry. HA. Mike is also very diligent in his studies and working on finishing of his Bachelors in Anthropology, for those of you who are not quite sure what that degree is, you can dust of rocks and live with different tribes all around the world to study their culture, but it is considered a behavioral science degree and it is what truly interested him. He believes career wise he will end up in sales and maybe run his own company one day, but we are for being patient and letting time tell.

Mike and I have been married now for a year and a half, and we have loved every minute of it! Mike takes care of me and is the sweetest thing in my life! He would truly give his life to protect me and keep me happy! I love him forever. We use to live in a little hole in the wall apartment in Orem on 400 south. We lived there for a year and we have now moved into a larger hole in the wall apartment in Lindon, down the street from my parents house that i grew up in. They are both basement apartments the only differences are: we have no more pop corn ceilings (that give you lung cancer), no more spiders, we have HOT water, no more boiling water on the stove for baths, we have a disposal, dishwasher, washer and dryer, soft water, and i can't touch the ceilings here. Oh and our new landlords are younger than 95!!

We live in the Lindon 10th ward were we are sunbeam teachers!!! They are new and so are we, not a good mix! but they are adorable and they are great birth control! Speaking of we have no children as of yet,but i think we might start in two to three more years. I know we are wusses! But unless god intervenes, that's the plan.

Well that's pretty much it. We both are addicted to the gym, when time and priorities allow, I have started taking an adult jazz hip hop class at jive studios with Millie Degraff and Melissa Pennock. I love it! We have set some new Health goals, of coarse, and spiritual goals for the new year. Well till another day... -SAM WESTOVER
